Shannon Combs-Bennett is an author, lecturer, and researcher based out of northern Virginia. She presents on a variety of subjects from genetics to methodology and is currently enrolled in the Strathclyde University genealogy program.

Maureen Taylor, MA



Maureen Taylor is an internationally known photo identification expert and a genealogist. Find her on social media @photodetective. She has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Today Show and is a guest on Extreme Genes.

AncestryDNA

Ross Curtis joined the AncestryDNA team in January of 2012. He is a computational biologist specializing in genetics and visual analytics and loves applying his expertise to family history and genealogy. He has used DNA to solve many of his own genealogy questions and enjoys being on the AncestryDNA science team to help improve the overall experience to help others do the same.

Craig R. Scott, MA, CG℠, FUGA is the President and CEO of Heritage Books, Inc., a genealogical publishing firm with over 6,500 titles in print. A professional genealogical and historical researcher for more than thirty years, he specializes in problem solving, publishing and the records of the National Archives, especially those that relate to the military. He was a faculty member and coordinator at IGHR and SLIG for many years.

Eureka! Genealogy

Debra Renard is a researcher and lecturer at the regional and national levels and is the founder of Eureka! Genealogy. She specializes in genetic genealogy, being a leader of the Louisville DNA SIG. Renard is a board member of the Louisville Genealogical Society, and Treasurer of the KY Chapter of APG. She is also a staff genealogist for the Nat. Society Sons of the American Revolution. Debra is especially passionate about helping those with unknown birth family find their roots.
