You won't be bored between sessions. Videos featuring Ancestry's training team will run during Jamboree breaks and lunches.

We hope you will share these broadcasts with others. Because the sessions are sponsored by Ancestry and available for free, you can host viewing parties with one or two friends, or with a room full of fellow society members. Of course, we also hope you will share this email to help us promote this outstanding opportunity.

If you can't watch a session in real-time as it is being live streamed, you will be able to watch it at your convenience before July 5, 2016, on the live stream website (not to be confused with the SCGS website and the Extension Series Webinar archives available for SCGS members).

Jamboree and DNA live streamed sessions will not be available for purchase on DVD, nor will they be accessible in the SCGS website archive.

Registration for the pay-per-view and free Jamboree sessions will remain open through July 5, 2016 when the special archive will close.

Oops! The 2:30 should have been 12:30. I corrected it. Thanks for pointing this out!

Will handouts be available for the live stream classes?

Lise Harding said...

Handouts are available for download now for the live streamed sessions. They are found on the home page. When you log in, look above the viewing window. There is a row of buttons. The middle one is "Get Handouts". Click that, and you should have access to all the handouts.

Cannot find the handouts anywhere. Help!!

Lise Harding said...

If you are logged in, above the viewing screen are some buttons - Click Handout and you can download.

Enjoy!

Joseph said...

Thank you. The trick is to "log in."

I can't get the handouts to open. It looks like they were downloaded, but when I try to open each handout I get message that Windows cannot complete extraction. HElp?

Are the times posted for the streamed sessions for my time zone?

Lise Harding said...

Patricia, the posted times are for Pacific Daylight Time. There is a time zone converter on the live stream website, below the streaming screen. So sorry this response is late. The Social Media Team wears several hats during Jamboree. We hope you were able to sign on and watch. You do have access to the webcasts through July 5th.

Dianne, about the handouts, when you log into the streaming website, there are 2 buttons to the left of the Get Handouts button, Troubleshooting and Contact Support. I've looked at troubleshooting, and would recommend you contact support for help with this. Our vendor is wonderful with customer service, and will try to help you out.

In your post, you said "If you can't watch a session in real-time as it is being live streamed, you will be able to watch it at your convenience before July 5, 2016, on the live stream website (not to be confused with the SCGS website and the Extension Series Webinar archives available for SCGS members)."

But WHERE is the "live stream website"?? There's no link and I can't find it listed. Is it the same URL we use to view the livestream sessions?

Lise Harding said...

Yes, the link is the same URL used to view the livestreamed sessions. Here are the instructions from the website about viewing the sessions after Jamboree: Welcome to the 2016 Jamboree free streaming page! Your registration includes access to ALL of the sessions listed in the broadcast schedule. You do not have to register for individual sessions. All sessions will be shown at their scheduled times in the video window below. Archive recordings can be viewed after the event (until July 5th 2016) by clicking "Watch Again" then scolling through the sessions with the < & > buttons in the video window.

The website is http://streaming.webcastandbeyond.com/jamboree/. We made the icon a live link, but it appears we inadvertently left out the link in the body of the text - Sorry!
